Basel’s trading journey began on the 31st of December 2024 with a mix of quick and long-holding trades, averaging approximately 16–18 trades per day.

His focus spans various Forex major and minor pairs, including Gold.

Below is a snapshot of the most recent 10 trades he actively holds to date.

Please note that his trading data may change over time.

Key Highlights

Outstanding Max Drawdown Percentage

One of Basel’s greatest strengths, contributing to his position as Tradingcup’s latest top trader, is his exceptional max drawdown percentage.

His longest trade lasted over 35 days, and he remained confident in holding it for that duration, ultimately exiting the trade with a gain.

Reviewing his max drawdown percentage curve, it is evident that his major drawdown occurred only between trades 266 to 271, resulting in a net loss of -€983.70.

The rest is a superb display of a consistently upward curve!

Big Starting Capital

Another key factor is Basel’s substantial starting capital. He began his trading account with a sizable €25,000, allowing him to avoid overleveraging. This provided him with a sufficient margin balance to sustain his trades thus more room to develop.

Additionally, his average trading volume across closed trades is 0.09 lot size, which works to his advantage because he can execute more trades without worrying too much about maintaining marginal balance in each trade profile. More capital results in more trades and more probability.

High Win Rate Percentage

With a win rate of 89.19% across 953 trades, Basel has demonstrated exceptional consistency.

Although win rate is not necessarily the ultimate priority in trading, this figure indicates that his system works effectively for him.

Notably, his largest winning trade stands at €524.36, while his largest loss is -€268.63. This results in a 0.56:1 reward-to-risk ratio.

Despite his high win rate, his largest win does not sufficiently offset the more compact PnL of his losses. This explains the 0.56 reward-to-risk setup across his entire trading record.

Trading Diversification

Trading multiple Forex major and minor pairs, including Gold, is another strategy that helped him secure the top position.

Here is the net PnL of the 10 trading instruments he traded, ranked in descending order:

EURAUD: +€3573.44

AUDCAD: +€3204.11

CADCHF: +€1287.54

EURUSD: +€1177.38

XAUUSD: +€1051.14

GBPUSD: +€271.11

USDJPY: +€28.36

NZDUSD: +€22.99

EURNZD: +€3.20

GBPJPY: -€1041.64

His best-performing instrument is EURAUD, while the worst is GBPJPY. Trading multiple instruments allows for increased probability, varied risk exposure, and flexibility across different markets.

However, this approach also comes with disadvantages, such as limited analysis, the need to manage multiple pairs, the risk of correlation, and increased trading costs.
